JUST BECAUSE TODAY’S MEDIA ONLY REPORTS ONE SIDE, DOESN’T MEAN THERE ISN’T ANOTHER SIDE

“Overwhelming opposition”? 26,000 people

supposedly signed their petition. That’s about

2/100th of 1% of Salt Lake County’s population.

Over 25,000 citizens have signed a petition opposing a gravel pit in Parley's Canyon. The Central Wasatch Committee has voiced opposition to a gravel pit in Parleys Canyon. The Mountainous Planning Commission opposes a gravel pit in Parley's Canyon.

Proposed quarry in Parley's Canyon and Utah's Winter Games leader at odds

SALT LAKE CITY — The man behind Utah's efforts to land the Winter Games in 2030 or 2034 said a proposed limestone quarry a few miles east of Salt Lake City up Parley's Canyon belies the state's efforts to prove itself as a good environmental steward.

Air Quality Plan for Proposed Quarry in Parley's Canyon Wastes Water and Won’t Work

“Save Parley's has a long list of specific concerns about, and objections to Granite’s air quality control plan which we will be raising in our public comments to DAQ,” said Save Parley's member Dr. Scott Williams, a former state public health official. “The State’s intent to approve this plan is based on a number of inconsistencies that the public should be aware of.”

And “Dr. Clean Air”? That’s right, he also has home up in theMt. Aire gated community. But it’s all about the environment, right?

Dozens rally outside DAQ in opposition of Parley's Canyon mine

And the “mass protest” against the quarry? A couple dozen people? It's this same type of  people are the reason Utahns are paying five bucks for gas.

The IOC might be offended if we have a Parley’s quarry?

Would they be offended if we had no rebuilt freeways?

If we had broken down sewer systems? No new construction?

Really? There’s more to that story. The Chair of the Utah Bid Committee lives with her husband high up in the Mt. Aire gated development. What a

coincidence!

ULTERIOR MOTIVES?

“Do some opponents of the I-80 South Quarry have hidden agendas?

They just really care about the environment, right?

Well, there might be more to it…

Watch this!

The Chair of the current Utah Bid Committee – a former speed skater – lives with her husband in a substantial home in the Mt. Aire gated development.

The doctor who is “Mr. Air Quality” and opposes the quarry? Well, he also has a home in that same Mt. Aire gated development.
